BUCKFASTLEIGH, DEVON
Saturday 29th November | 10am - 5pm | free entry
Get ready for a day full of joy as Wintertide returns to Buckfastleigh for a one-day celebration of creativity, community and craft.
This beautifully curated market brings together over 80 artists, designers, makers and creators from across the South West. With two main craft/maker venues – the Town Hall and the Foundry Barn (just off the High Street) – there’s plenty to explore.
Head to the Brew Hub for the dedicated Food & Drink Market. Young and old alike can enjoy hands-on making at the Children’s Make and Create Space at Buckfastleigh Primary School.
Expect the town to be full of energy and activity, as local businesses including The Valiant Soldier, Buckfastleigh Library, The Moor Imagination Centre, and The Wool Hub will also be open and running their own special events.
Event parking will be available on the Devonia Sheepskins site, but please consider coming by bus – the town will be busy!
Come along, support small independent businesses and celebrate the start of the festive season with us.

Key Event Information
We want you to enjoy your day out in Buckfastleigh. To help everyone achieve this, we have outlined some of the key event information you need to make the most of your Wintertide experience. Please take the time to read!
Travelling to Buckfastleigh
The busiest times for the event at 10am - 12pm. If you plan to visit the event during these times please either car share or travel by bus to ease congestion.
Please access the town via Buckfast and Mardle Way - this will take you straight to the event parking on the Devonia Sheepskins site and minimise road traffic within the town.
The bus stop is in the centre of town, so also check out the bus times from Newton Abbot, Ashburton and Totnes or Ivybridge and Exeter.
Where can I park for the event?
Event parking will be on the Devonia Sheepskins yard (TQ11 0AG) and will cost £5 per car. Please try and bring cash to pay for parking to help the flow of traffic, although we will also have the ability to take card payments.
There are a couple of car parks in Buckfastleigh although space tends to be limited, so PLEASE head to the official event parking. Please respect our local residents and ensure that you park your car appropriately.
Where in Buckfastleigh is the event being held?
The event will be held over four locations in Buckfastleigh. You can pick up an event map at any of the venues in town (or view and download below). The craft / makers market will be in Buckfastleigh Town Hall (TQ11 0DD) and The Foundry Barn (just off the Fore Street), a food and drink space will be at The Brew Hub (TQ11 0NR) and the Make / Create Children’s space will be at Buckfastleigh Primary School.
What is accessibility like?
The Town Hall is spread over two floors - the top floor is accessed via a staircase but there is also access to a stair lift for anyone who needs it. The Brew Hub is all on one level. The Foundry Barn is down a short lane, but again all on one floor. Their is a small flight of steps up to the Primary School but the hall is all on one level.
Is it child friendly?
Yes! We want to make this a day out for the family and so we will be offering craft activities at various venues along with the main space in the Primary School. However, as the town hall is over two floors and the space will be busy, we would ideally prefer it that prams are left (where possible) in the allocated space on entrance to the town hall.
Can I bring my dog?
You are welcome to bring your dog although we ask for them to be on a lead at all times. Also, it goes without saying to help keep out streets clean and pick up always. PLEASE NOTE: no dogs will be allowed in the Primary School grounds.
